It's been a long time

Hey Guys! I know, it has been a really long time. I wish I had a real explanation for where I have been and why it has been so long. I know I started posting back in the middle of July, but I couldn't keep up. Life is crazy. You would think after 6 months I would have adjusted to the crazy scheduling, but I haven't.

I have been sick for quite a while now with a constant sinus infection. I have been on several antibiotics but they aren't working. I am continuing to have problems and get ear infections even while on the antibiotics.

We also got married in September! It was beautiful and I am hoping to get a post about it written as soon as we get our pictures back.

Life is crazy, but for the most part I am really enjoying it. I am getting started on writing a few posts. It will not be like I said it was going to be. And for a while it probably won't be consistent. What I really want to focus on is my youtube channel. So while I will post a few posts on here, I will mostly be working on getting content and videos us on the channel.

I hope you guys understand and I am so grateful to any and everyone that reads this blog!!

5:55am- get dressed, fix hair, get matthews shoes on, brush his teeth, put dogs up, finish fixing lunches
6:07am- leave for work.
6:20am-3:30pm- work. We do have a set schedule at work and I will tell you more about it one day. :)
3:45pm-get home, check the mail, let the dogs out, get changed into my pajamas, wash dishes
4:30pm- JP gets home, start dinner
5:00pm- eat dinner together as a family, take a shower
5:30pm- run Matthew's bath water, get him in the tub, lay out his clothes, pack lunches
6:00pm- get Matthew in pajamas, turn on his tv, snuggle with him for a bit
6:30pm- turn on our tv, snuggle with JP, watch a tv show (lately Private Practice has been our show of choice)
8:30pm- get Matthew into bed, snuggle with him for a while, say our prayers
9:00pm- get into bed and go to sleep!

That is our schedule as of late. It is pretty fast paced and hectic most of the time. And it doesn't go this way every single day, but for the most part, it follows this routine. So what is your daily routine like? Has it changed recently like mine has?

I have hit pan!

Hey Guys! So I recently have hit pan on several products or have found that a few of my products are almost empty. I wanted to share these products with you guys and let you know what I think of them.

The first thing I hit pan on was my ELF eyebrow kit in light. I hit pan on the wax side about a month ago. I am really close to hitting pan on the powder side too! I LOVE this eyebrow kit. It has definitely hit my favorites a couple of times.

I am almost out of my Fergie Take on the Day eye shadow primer. This poor tube has been squeezed to death and there is no writing on the front of the package anymore! I need to go ahead and buy a second one because this is definitely my most favorite eye shadow primer.

I HAVE ALMOST FINISHED A LIP BALM! I feel like I deserve a reward because I have NEVER finished an entire lip balm in my life. This one is the Blistex Silk & Shine. It smells amazing and is really moisturizing.

Next thing I hit pan on is the L'Oreal True Match powder. I am not positive what color this one is, but I can really only use this one as a powder foundation during the winter. The rest of the time I have to use it as a setting powder. I really enjoy this as a powder foundation, not quite as much as I like the Milani Multi-tasker, but I do really enjoy it.

Then I have my most favorite natural highlight. This is the Wet N Wild Take on the Cabana. It gives you the most natural glow without being shimmery. I know I have a long way to go before I ever use all of it.

And a mascara that I have almost finished is the Physicians Formula C+C Organic mascara. I am so close to being out of this. I love this one! It isn't perfect but it gives you a really natural look to lashes and I love that.

And the last thing is the NYC Cover Stick in fair. I can't even tell you how long I have had this concealer. It is so exciting to be almost done with it. This is not a great concealer, but it does okay on light spots.

So there you have it! I get really excited when I hit pan or use up a product. I know a few of these will take me quite a bit longer to totally use it up, but I am glad I am getting close. What products have you almost used up or hit pan on recently? Let me know!

It All Falls In Place

Hey Guys! Today I wanted to share some super exciting news with you! But I need to tell you a few things first.

Most of you know that I have worked at a drugstore for a while. I got the job back in 2008 to help financially. I wasn't planning on staying long, maybe a year. Then, I got pregnant with Matthew and that changed everything. I had to keep the job to help take care of my son and to keep insurance coverage on both of us. I have had highs and lows in this job, but about a month ago, I reached my breaking point.

I text JP several times telling him that I couldn't take it anymore and that I needed him to calm me down before I left work. He and I had several discussions about it and did lots of praying on the matter. Then we decided to take a huge leap of faith. We decided that I would search super hard for another job, anything, anywhere. Then we decided that even if I couldn't find anything, I would put in my notice and be gone from this job by June 2.

Then, I got a text from my mom. She asked me if I would be interested in working at a daycare. Working with kids is something that I have always been passionate about and have always considered. I wanted to be a teacher for the longest time, but college just never happened for me. This was an amazing opportunity! And she told me there was an opening for their 2PM-6PM position. I got really excited. That meant that I would still be able to come home at night and have dinner with my guys. It meant for the first time in almost 5 years, I would be home to tuck my son into bed every single night. It meant I wouldn't have to request weekends off or holidays off to spend with my family. It meant so much.

I went and applied for the job. They told me they were taking applications all week long and would probably call me the next week. The next morning, I got a phone call. They wanted me to come in for an interview that day. When I got there, we talked for a bit and she offered me the job. I went in for my orientation type thing today, and she offered me something even better than I could have hoped.

I was looking at having a part time position, but she offered me a full time position. I am so excited and really looking forward to this new chapter in my life! I cannot wait to see what is going to happen with this job, but I feel like God set the timing up perfectly. It is amazing what can happen in your life with a little bit of patience and a LOT of faith in your Lord.

I ask that you please be patient with me as I try to adjust life to a totally new schedule. I may miss a few days of posting here and there, but I will do my best to get it all figured out quickly. Thank you so much for reading!

Mom Week Day 4: Top 5 Ways...

Hey Guys! Welcome to day 4 of Mom Week! Today I am going to talk to you about the top 5 ways I help myself relax/pamper myself.

  1. Read my Bible- My top way to relax is to read my Bible. I totally enjoy reading my Bible. I usually light a candle and read curled up on the couch.
  2. Mani/Pedi- The next way is by giving myself a quick manicure/pedicure. I don't have a lot of time for things like this, so it is a big way to relax/pamper myself.
  3. Shower- When I am in the shower, it is my only time alone! So I really enjoy a nice hot long shower. I don't like taking baths, I take showers instead. It is seriously the most relaxing thing.
  4. Take a walk- Whether on the treadmill or outside. I just find walks really relaxing. If I am walking on the treadmill, I like to just zone out by watching some youtube or listening to music.
  5. Read a book/Magazine/blogs- I really enjoy throwing myself into a book or any reading material. Reading just distracts you from anything else going on in the world. You get a chance to use your imagination.
So that is how I relax/pamper myself. What do you do? Let me know in the comments below!!
