Poor Cooper

Sometimes, life happens. You have plans and then things just never work out the way you plan. Today, my plan was to clean my house and get my WIAW post done. And what ended up happening was my little beagle, Cooper, got a toenail ripped off and had to be rushed to the vet.

He had to have the rest of his nail clipped off, got his rabies shot, and got a heartworm test. The quick heartworm test came back positive, which made me cry. They sent a sample off to the lab and should be calling me tomorrow to see if it is positive. If it is, we will be discussing options then. Please pray for my sweet Cooper to heal quickly and that he doesn't have heartworms!!

Wooly's Trip 3-08-14

Hey Guys! Today I wanted to quickly tell you about an off roading trip that we went on. We went to Wooly's on the 8th to hit a few trails. Only one other Jeep went with us, but we had a good time. It was my first time back on the trails since October and definitely the first time since surgery. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't too bad either. I made sure to keep my sling on and to get out if anything looked like it would hurt too bad.

This time, we took Cooper. It was the first time he has ever been. He did really well. He stayed in the floor board by my feet most of the ride. He would get out if we got out and he would just wander around a little bit and then come back to the Jeep when we got in. He was awesome.

We are trying to plan another trip soon with our friends Shawn and Sarah. We are hoping to get to go this coming weekend. So, have you ever gone off roading? What do you think of it?
