Top 5 Thursday: Favorite Cream Eyeshadows

Hey Guys! It's time for another T5T and today I wanted to talk about cream eyeshadows. You can get the cream ones in different forms, whether in a pot or in a stick form. I currently only have one favorite in the stick form, but it is impressive! So let's go ahead and get started!

My first favorite is the Maybelline Color Tattoo. I was a little (okay a lot) late on this trend, but now that I have gotten a few, I am hooked! I have three of these: Tough as Taupe (which is obviously a taupe color), Audacious Asphalt (which is a silver/grey color) and Rich Mahogany (which is a reddish brown and may have been limited edition). These are so amazing. They are extremely creamy, pigmented and long lasting. The claim to last 24 hours, but I don't ever wear it long enough to know if that is true or not. These are absolutely without a doubt my most favorite. They are perfect for either a base color or to wear on their own.

Next is the Revlon Illuminance Crème Shadow quads. I had one of these a LONG time ago, but recently picked up two to try again. I love them. They are another really creamy shadow. I have Twilight which has a silver blue, a light pink, a light grey and a dark grey. And I also have Va Va Va Bloom which has a burgandy color, a rose gold, a purple and a mauve. I love that they come in quads so that you have several different colors to choose from. I have never worn these on their own, but I do love them as a base color.

The cream eyeshadow that I love in the stick form is the Milani Shadow Eyez. This is supposed to be a 12 hour eyeshadow and I would believe it. I have the colors Sand Dunes which is a champagne color and Aquatic Style which is a teal color. Sand Dunes is slightly glittery bust for the most part they are just metallic. These are very pigmented and metallic looking. It is so easy to get these to go on. They are a perfect base color, but the thing I really love them for is to line the bottom lash line. It just gives you that perfect pop of color.

Another shadow that I love is the ELF Long-lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow. I am pretty sure that the color I have is Gala. This has almost a whipped consistency, but I definitely consider it a cream shadow. These are glittery, but that is what I love about them. I don't usually use them as a base, but they are perfect to add a bit of glittery color over a different eye shadow.

The last one is another one from ELF. It is the new ELF Smudge Pots. I purchased two of these in the colors Back to Basics, which is a golden neutral, and Ain't That Sweet, which is a shimmery pink. I love these. They are creamy and pigmented. I usually apply these with a small concealer brush, but mostly because the pots are a little difficult to get into with my finger. These are pretty comparable to the Color Tattoos for me, but much cheaper.

So, which cream shadows are your favorites? Have you ever tried any of these?

December 2013 Makeup Favorites

Hey Guys! Today I wanted to let you know about my December 2013 favorites! These were the products that's I used the most. The reason I ran to these so much is that I feel they all create a really wonderful holiday look. Several of these products are ones that I got in a shopping trip that I did at the beginning of the month. I did film a haul for that trip and do plan on getting it posted in the next week. If you are interested in purchasing any of these products, I did link them all below for you. So, if you want to see what my favorites are for this month, then keep on reading!

The first one is the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer in St. Lucia. I love this duo. The blush is a peachy color with gold sparkle. The bronzer looks like it has sparkle in the package, but it doesn't come off on your face. I love using this bronzer as a contour. It is deep enough and it isn't orange looking.

I was so surprised that I loved this lip color as much as I did! I am not one for a bold red lip, but this red was perfect on me. This is the ELF Matte Lip Color in Rich Red. I love that it is matte which makes the red not as intense. I wore this to Christmas at my grandparent's house this year and got so many compliments on it. This lipstick is only $3, but I happened to luck up on it at Dollar Tree and only paid $1 for it!

Next is the Milani Shadow Eyez in Sand Dunes. Milani has some of the best shadow sticks. They are so creamy, pigmented and long lasting. I love this color because it is a wonderful metallic nude color. It is a great eye shadow base. My favorite way to wear it, is under the eye shadow that is coming up next.

This eye shadow is the Physician's Formula Baked Collection in Baked Oatmeal. These are the perfect neutrals. They have a wonderful almost metallic finish to the lighter colors and the deeper color comes off almost matte. They are absolutely perfect together.

This is another Physician's Formula product. They make some of my favorite products overall. This is from the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner set in Nude. This is the middle toned color in the set. It is my favorite! It isn't black, it is more of a pewter color. It is perfect with the two previous products because it isn't too harsh but is dark enough to define really well. I really love this in my waterline as well!

And lastly is this Revlon Cream Blush in Berry Flirtatious. This color is actually a little darker in person than how it looks in the picture. It is a perfect berry shade and I love it for this time of year. It is so creamy and goes on really well. It lasted a while on my skin as well.

Alright, there you have it, my December 2013 favorites! What were your favorite makeup products this month? Have you ever tried any of the products I mentioned above? If so, what did you think of them?

**On a side note, can you believe that it will be 2014 tomorrow?!?!?! Keep an eye out for my 2014 Goals.

Top 5 Thursday: Eye Shadow Palettes

Hey Guys! Welcome back to Top 5 Thursday! Today I am going to tell you about my top 5 favorite eye shadow palettes. Now, I don't have a lot of large palettes, but I do have some bigger ones. And for the most part, my trios and quads take the lead.

The first one is Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips in Nude. You can make so many looks with this palette! I love the neutrals because you can make a lot of really good every day looks with this. But, you can also use the darker shades and make a really good smoky eye. I just swatched three random colors in the picture above. These are so pigmented and creamy.

The next one is the Profusion Colour Me Glow in #07. This palette was so cheap at Walgreen's but I love it! There is a good range of colors in it. I have found most of them to be really pigmented, but they can be a little bit powdery. I typically like to use these shades over a cream shadow base just to make sure I don't get much fall out.

This one has to be my most used palette of the last few weeks. I love pairing this with the Strawberry Blonde infallible eye shadow. This one is the Revlon colorstay in Enchanted. It has a pink, a taupe, a tan and a hunter green with glitter in it. It is such a beautiful quad!

This palette makes such a great smoky eye! The shadows are a little powdery, but they have good color payoff. The top color is a baby pink, then an intense blue and a navy/charcoal color. This one is made by Rimmel and it is called Sapphire Moonstone.

And last but not least is Camera Obscura from Wet N Wild. I am pretty sure this one may be limited edition, but if you can find it, get it. As with most Wet N Wild palettes, this is extremely pigmented. I usually add a cream color to my brow bone from one of the other palettes, but you don't have to. This has a really nice dark blue, a pale orange color and a tan. They just look amazing together!

There you have it, my top 5 eye shadow palettes. Have you tried any of these? What did you think about them? Let me know what you think in the comment section below! And if you have any ideas for upcoming Top 5 Thursday posts, let me know!!
